Vinyl Window Decal Application Instructions
Thank you for choosing our vinyl window decal! Below are the simple steps you need to follow for a successful application on your car window. Please read through these instructions carefully before proceeding.
Materials Needed:
Vinyl window decal
Clean cloth or towel
Rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner
Masking tape or painter's tape
Credit card(optional)
Instructions:
1. Start by thoroughly cleaning the car window where you plan to apply the decal. Use rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner to remove any dirt, dust, or residue from the surface. Make sure the window is completely dry before proceeding. Do not apply to a window that has been sitting in direct sun for an extended period of time.
2. Align the decal to the desired position on the car window. For precise placement, you may want to use a measuring tape or ruler to center it. You can also use masking tape or painter's tape to temporarily secure the decal in place at the top.
3. Carefully peel off the backing paper from the vinyl window decal by folding the decal up and pulling down on the backing. Hold the decal by the edges to avoid touching the adhesive side.
4. Once you are satisfied with the decal's position, begin applying it from one side to the other. Avoid touching the adhesive side with your fingers. Instead, use a clean cloth, towel or credit card to gently press the decal onto the window surface, starting from the center and moving outward. This will help eliminate any air bubbles.
5. If air bubbles form during application, you can push them towards the edge of the decal with a smooth, even motion. If needed, carefully lift a corner of the decal to release trapped air and then press it back down.
6. Once the decal is fully applied, run your fingers or the cloth along the edges to ensure good adhesion. Pay particular attention to the corners and edges to avoid peeling or lifting.
7. If your vinyl decal came with transfer tape, carefully peel it off at a 45-degree angle. Make sure the decal remains on the car window and that none of the letters or design elements come off with the transfer tape.
8. After application, avoid washing your car for at least 48 hours to allow the decal to properly adhere to the window surface.
Removal:
To remove the vinyl decal, gently peel it off starting from one corner. If necessary, you can use a hairdryer on low heat to warm the adhesive, making it easier to remove without leaving residue.
Please note that extreme temperatures may affect the performance and durability of the vinyl decal. It is recommended to avoid harsh weather conditions, if possible, such as extreme heat or cold, as well as car washes with high-pressure sprays.
